How are continuing education credits reported?
As required by the state of Florida’s Department of Health, CPS reports attendance at all programs through CE Broker. Participants complete and submit a scan card at the end of each workshop. All participants receive a documentation of attendance letter upon completion of the program.

What is CE Broker?
CE Broker is the name of an electronic tracking system developed for the Department of Health to help track and facilitate audit of continuing education credits earned by Florida’s health care practitioners. The Department of Health was mandated by law to implement an electronic tracking system. For more information, please visit their website: www.cebroker.com.

Do I have to subscribe to CE Broker to have my credits reported?
Subscription to CE Broker is not required, and continuing education will be tracked whether or not you subscribe.

Where are the continuing education workshops offered?
Workshops are typically offered on-site at our state of the art building, the Center for Psychological Studies (Maltz Psychology Building) on Nova Southeastern University’s main campus in Fort Lauderdale, FL. At times, workshops are offered at other main campus locations or at NSU Student Education Centers. For maps and directions, please visit the NSU website at www.nova.edu.

What is the workshop attendance policy?
Full attendance at a workshop is required to receive continuing education credits. Partial credit will not be granted to program participants.

How much do your workshops cost?
The cost of our workshops is very competitive. Fees for CE courses vary based on length and content of the course. Please refer to our website at www.cps.nova.edu/CE for details.

What is the refund and cancellation policy?
A full refund or a credit toward attendance at another program will be issued for cancellations received no later than one week prior to the workshop date. Credit toward another program will be awarded for cancellations after that date. The university reserves the right to cancel programs due to low registration.

What should I do if I am dissatisfied with any aspect of the CE program?
An identifiable person is available at each CE program to monitor participant needs and concerns. Confidential written comments can also be registered on the evaluation form. If a complaint is lodged during the program that cannot be resolved, or if an individual wishes to pursue a concern with the department, he or she may file a written complaint to the administrator or Dean of the Center for Psychological Studies. Participants’ verbal concerns are reported to the administrator, and serious complaints are reported to the Dean. All complaints are acted upon in a timely manner and a written response is provided. Any legitimate concerns are addressed in future programs. The Center for Psychological Studies also has an established grievance procedure.

Are accommodations available for those with a disability?
Nova Southeastern University, in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, is committed to providing equal access through reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities. The University facilities are new and in compliance with the most recent codes. In addition, the University owns equipment for the hearing impaired. How do I register for a continuing education workshop?
Participants wishing to attend a continuing education workshop may register online at. Advance registration is encouraged, but not required. Participants receive a discount http://cps.nova.edu/CEfor advance registration. Please call 954-262-5790 if you have any questions.

Are discounts offered for any of the continuing education workshops?
NSU full-time faculty and students attend all continuing education workshops free of charge, unless otherwise noted on workshop registration forms. Students are requested to provide support of the continuing education program by assisting faculty and staff with registration and other activities. NSU part-time and adjunct faculty, as well as practicum and internship supervisors may attend the workshops for half price. Full-time students from other universities also receive a discounted workshop fee with proof of registration.
