Curriculum Vitae

John E. Lewis, Ph.D. is a Professor and Director of Academic Affairs at Nova Southeastern University (NSU), Center for Psychological Studies in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  He is also the Associate Director of the Southeast Institute for Multicultural Counseling and Psychotherapy

Dr. Lewis earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, and Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degrees in education at Queen’s University, Canada.  He earned his Doctoral degree at Syracuse University. His research interests include cross cultural assessment and psychotherapy, and international perspectives.  He is a member of American Psychological Association (APA) divisions 17, 45, and 52.  Dr. Lewis has presented at numerous national and international conferences and is the author or co-author of books, and articles focused on cross-cultural issues.
