NSU’s Center for Psychological Studies welcomes Dr. Jerome Sattler to the 2008 Continuing Education Workshop Series!

Jerome Sattler, Ph.D.  is a Diplomate in Clinical Psychology of the American Board of Professional Psychology. Currently, he is Professor Emeritus and an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at San Diego State University. Dr. Sattler has received numerous awards for his work in the field of psychology, some of which include the 1998 Senior Scientist Award from the Division of School Psychology of the American Psychological Association, the 2003 honorary Doctor of Sciences degree from Central Missouri State University, the 2005 Gold Medal Award for Life Achievement in the Application of Psychology from the American Psychological Foundation, and the 2006 Distinguished Contribution to Psychology Award from the San Diego Psychological Association. In 2006, he was also awarded as a Distinguished Visiting Professor from The Colorado School of Professional Psychology.  Dr. Sattler’s books include Assessment of Children, Cognitive Applications (Fourth Edition), Assessment of Children, Behavioral, Social, and Clinical Foundation (Fifth Edition) (with Robert Hoge), Assessment of Children: WISC–IV AND WPPSI–III Supplement (with Ron Dumont), and Clinical and Forensic Interviewing of Children and Families. He has published over 100 articles in the fields of school and clinical psychology and is a co-author of the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale: Fourth Edition. All editions of Assessment of Children have been translated into Spanish.

Dr. Sattler’s CE workshop entitled, “Recent Developments in the Assessment of Children” will be held on Friday, May 2, 2008 in the Carl DeSantis Bldg., Room 1124 (Knight Auditorium).
