MAIN CAMPUS
The master’s program is offered on the beautiful 300-acre campus main campus in Ft. Lauderdale, the home base of the university.
A full schedule of courses is offered for the fulltime or part-time student. Classes each semester from 4-7 pm and 7-10 pm and some classes are offered in a weekend format. Students obtain clinical experience in the practicum, which is scheduled over 3 continuous semesters.
NSU STUDENT EDUCATIONAL CENTERS
Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando, West Palm Beach, Tampa
The master’s program is offered in an accessible weekend format at NSU’s full service Student Educational Centers around the state of Florida. NSU has been a leader in training students in this format for over 25 years. WebCT technology will be utilized to enhance face to face instruction.
Classes are scheduled on weekends, approximately once per month. Practicum is scheduled over 3 continuous semesters).
ONLINE
The masters program in counseling offers concentrations in mental health counseling, substance abuse counseling, substance abuse counseling and education, or behavior analysis. In this format, regular courses are offered online, with the exception of practicum that requires supervised clinical experience in an approved agency. This program is designed specifically for the mature and independent learner.
An annual professional development institute is scheduled each year on the main campus in Ft. Lauderdale.
