Scott Poland, Ed.D.

Scott Poland Ed.D. is an associate professor at CPS and the crisis coordinator for Nova Southeastern University.  He is one of the most well known school psychologists in the nation having directed psychological services for the Cypress Fairbanks I.S.D. in Texas for 23 years.  The school district received many state and national honors for the psychological services provided.  Scott has held numerous state and national leadership positions, including serving as President of NASP.  He is a founding member and current chair of the National Emergency Assistance Team.  He is one of the leading experts on school crisis and has authored or co-authored four books and five NASP Best Practices chapters on the subject.  He has lectured extensively around the world on school crisis and has testified before the U.S. Congress on three occasions.




Angela Waguespack, PhD

Angela Waguespack, PhD is an associate professor at CPS and the Academic Program Administrator for School Psychology.  She worked as a school psychologist in Broward County for several years prior to joining the faculty at NSU.  Angela has served as the Public Policy and Information Chairperson for the Florida Association of School Psychologists since 2005.  Her research and applied interests include behavioral, academic, and social skills interventions with children and adolescents, school-based consultation, and problem-solving models of service delivery including response to intervention.





Sarah Valley-Gray, Psy.D.

Sarah Valley-Gray, Psy.D. is an associate professor at CPS and the Director of Continuing Education and Special Projects.  She led the development of the specialist and doctoral programs in school psychology at CPS.  She has held leadership positions in FASP as the chair of the Training and Credentialing Committee, Chair of the Professional Development Committee, Awards Committee, and has been fundraising chair for FASP’s charity arm, the Children’s Service Fund.  She has also held a number of other leadership positions with NASP, including National and State Credentialing Co-Chair, National and State Credentialing Chair, and Level 1 Standards Revision Committee.



Martin Levine, Ed.D.

Martin Levine, Ed.D. is a part-time core faculty member at CPS.








Ralph E. (Gene) Cash, Ph.D., NCSP

Gene Cash, PhD. is an associate professor at CPS and Director of the School Psychology Assessment and Consultation Center. He has previously held positions as president, legislative chair, and member of the Ethics Committee of the Florida Association of School Psychologists (FASP), is the past president and current treasure of FASP’s charity arm, and a former Southeastern Regional Delegate Representative to the NASP Executive Council. Gene is currently the president of the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). He was also presented with the Willard Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award by FASP.
