What is RSS?

RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". 
It is a format based on XML that is used for distributing and publishing web content such as headline news articles easily. This content can be delivered to your desktop via a news reader, news aggregator, or other RSS software without your having to visit the publisher's website directly. Most RSS feeds contain headlines, summaries, and links back to the original source.


Why use RSS?

RSS is a highly popular utility that allows you to stay abreast and in control of important and exciting news and information from Nova Southeastern's Center for Psychological Studies.

How do I use RSS feeds?

RSS feeds make it easy and convenient for you to receive all of the college's news and events from one location. To begin using RSS, you need a news reader or aggregator that will display RSS content. There are many free news readers available.  Some news readers work as software that you install onto your computer. Other news readers are web-based.  Once you have decided which news reader to use, simply follow the instructions provided by the news reader in order to subscribe to an RSS feed of interest.  The Center for Psychological Studies does not recommend or warranty any specific news-reading software.
