Estimated Expenses


The total expenses of students enrolled in master’s programs vary greatly depending upon individual circumstances. While tuition, registration, the cost of books, and other fees* are relatively constant for all students, other individual expenses may differ.

Tuition $ 545 per credit hour
Application Fee  $ 50 (nonrefundable)
Registration Fee $ 25 per semester
Late Payment Penalty $ 50
Student Services Fee will amount to $ 250 per semester for students enrolled in two or more courses for a combined total of four or more credits, not to exceed $ 750 per year.
Professional Liability Insurance $ 10 per semester
Transcript Fee $ 5 per semester
Degree Application Fee $ 75

Refund Policy
Students have three working days from the date of signing an enrollment contract or financial agreement with the university to cancel the contract and receive a full refund of any tuition and registration fees paid. Further, a student shall receive a full refund of tuition and registration fees paid by the student before the commencement of instruction if the student submits a written request to the institution within three working days of the payment.

Tuition Refund Schedule-Mental Health Counseling & School Guidance and Counseling Programs

The following schedule applies to payments for each weekend format class:

For courses held over one weekend:
For 100% refund: withdrawal before the first day of the weekend class

For course held over two or more weekends:
For 100% refund: withdrawal before the first weekend
For 50% refund: withdrawal prior to the completion of the first third of a 3 or 4 credit
course.

Call the program office and/or notify the instructor concerning unanticipated withdrawals (e.g., sudden illness) or class absences. For advisement on withdrawals and refunds, contact the program office.

Students are expected to pay tuition in full at the time of registration. Students receiving financial aid must familiarize themselves with the requirements of that office with regard to payments and may defer payment only if they have been officially notified of an award. Once a loan check is disbursed, students will be responsible for making all appropriate payments.

Application Fee  $ 50 (nonrefundable)
Registration Fee $ 25 per semester

Some courses may require additional fees for laboratory and/or equipment (e.g. calculator, testing materials) and supplemental course materials. Students need to make arrangements for Internet access and pay the corresponding fee. NSU requires that all students maintain one official university-assigned computer account that is used to access major computing resources, including electronic mail. All official electronic mail communications directed to CPS students will be sent exclusively to NSU-assigned computer accounts to ensure timely and accurate delivery of information. Students may forward their NSU generated electronic mail to external locations, bust do so at their own risk.

 

Doctoral Program

The total expenses of students enrolled in doctoral programs vary greatly depending on individual circumstances. While tuition, registration, and other fees,* and the cost of books are relatively constant for all students, other expenses will differ.

Tuition $ 835 per credit hour
Application Fee  $ 50 (nonrefundable)
Registration Fee $ 25 per semester
Late Payment Penalty $ 50
Student Services Fee will amount to $ 250 per semester for students enrolled in two or more courses for a combined total of four or more credits, not to exceed $ 750 per year.
Professional Liability Insurance $ 10 per term
Transcript Fee $ 5
Degree Application Fee $ 75
Seat Deposit $ 1,000 (nonrefundable; payable after acceptance and credited toward tuition)
